It’s been two years since our elder sibling ASIAN Geographic launched its first “destination sampler” – a special issue we called JOURNAL. A lot has happened since, and we have now come to the end of the first successful year for PASSPORT, the magazine dedicated to travel in Asia that you have in your hands.
To mark the occasion – and to usher in the new year and the new decade – this special issue serves up what we hope is a tempting and eclectic menu of travel experiences for the adventurous. While the bitesized morsels in JOURNAL aimed to tantalise rather than tell all, for each adventure in these pages we seek not only to seduce and inspire you, but also to explain in detail how to go about trying it for yourself – and even provide you with a possible itinerary.
